BalSulin was formulated with four selected botanicals, each of which have been extensively studied and proven to be effective in different types of blood sugar management. These four ingredients work together giving the consumer the benefits of all four. Since all of them are natural food ingredients they are quite safe and especially suitable for long term use (blood sugar control is a life-long concern for most diabetic patients, so the long term safety of a product is a very important for them). Below are the main ingredients in our formula:

Mulberry Leaf Extract (MoruCel)

• Mulberry leaf is traditionally used in Asian countries as an excellent drink to “clear heat,” and in folk medicine it is also used for diabetes. It’s interesting to note that the mulberry tree is traditionally planted to provide food for the silkworm. These insects are very sensitive and require a lot of food. Mulberry leaf is the silkworm’s only food source and cannot contain any pesticides or it will kill the worms. Therefore Mulberry Leaf is a clean plant and pesticide free.
• In the past 20 years many studies have found that Mulberry Leaf Extract works well on animals and humans to maintain healthy levels of blood sugar. Several aspects of the study have been proven although the study is still on-going. The proven components are:
• 1-deoxynojirimycin can work as α–glucosidase inhibitors which effectively decrease post-meal glucose levels. In fact, its chemical structure is very similar to Bayer’s drug called Glyset (Miglitol).
• Other components of Mulberry Leaf Extract (i.e. Fagomine) can promote the secretion of more insulin.
• Some of our further studies are showing that when several components of Mulberry Leaf Extract are used in certain combinations, there are obvious improvements compared to using them individually. These are the key technical points of our patent pending extract: MoruCel.
• Our own in-vitro study has shown that five doses of MoruCel provide similar results to one dose of the drug Glyset. However, the consumer seems to experience no side effects (like abdominal swelling, diarrhea, etc.) after taking MoruCel. This is a big advantage over some synthetic α–glucosidase inhibitors. In theory, this advantage could be because Mulberry Leaf Extract’s components are in very low percentages, bringing fewer negative responses and because the compounds are all-natural and therefore much more compatible with the human body.

Bitter Melon

• Bitter Melon is a well-known vegetable. Research has shown that it can adjust the sugar glycometabolism, promote the creation of hepatic glycogen and reduce the deterioration of hepatic glycogen; therefore, it can improve sugar tolerance and reduce the harm of high blood sugar (it works very much like an insulin sensitizer).

Astragalus Root

• Typical complications of diabetic patients include tiny ulcerations on the face, feet, and hands, which can be hard to eliminate. This is caused by a diabetic’s poor blood circulation. The capillaries and peripheral nerves cannot get the nutrients they need and they lose their normal functions. Astragalus Root is excellent for blood circulation concerns it can help to prevent these ulcerations. Astragalus Root can also delay and improve kidney problems caused by the same blood circulation concerns.

Cactus

• Cactus has two properties that assist with diabetes. First, it can effectively lower the blood sugar levels, second it can decrease oxidative stress and strengthen the ability to inhibit oxidative damage caused by free radicals, therefore preventing diabetic complications.
